8" rear longer wheel studs

Post #1 by 64 200 ranchero » Fri Jun 21, 2019 3:38 pm

I just bought some 3/8" wheel spacers to fit my drag radials on to my 60 ranchero. I need longer wheel studs to compensate for the spacers. I know that I need 1/2 20 studs, but what size is the knurl diameter?
60 ford ranchero daily driver. 200 tri power, modified c4 trans, ds2 distributor, msd programable 6al2, weber ict's, 8" rear end with full spool, 3.40 gears, 245 tires, CI dual out header, Flowmaster, 114hp shot wet nitrous kit. JE Forged pistons, 280 110lc cam, around 11-1 compression.

I just replaced the suds in my 8' - I measured several of the old studs and the dimension at the knurled part of the stud is between .620-.625. Hope that helps.

I found that there are 2 sizes for the knurl, .547 and .625. I ended up using studs for a Ford Econoline with the .547 knurl.
