Good Dual MC swap instructions page?

Post #1 by CobraSix » Fri Feb 13, 2004 3:47 pm

I know there are some out there, but I have been unable to find them. Anyone know where some are. Dual Master Cylinder swap for early falcons and mustangs. Thanks.

I'm following the instructions given at http://www.kastang.net/reference/Dualmcconversion.pdf (very helpful, thank you). The MC to pedal rod just fell out of my old 65 MC, but the rod in the 67 MC seems to be held in somehow, it won't come out. WHat is the trick to this?

Thanks, Scott

With the master cylinder held firmly in a vise, grab hold of the actuator rod and violently stir it around, while pulling. This should compress the spring ring on the end of the rod and walk it out of the cavity. Then throw that rod as far away as you can and use the old one.

Thanks everyone, it took a bar through the pedal mount hole and a sledge hammer, but I finally got it out. :D

just started mine yesterday. My push rod feel right out of the MC. IT's a good thing I replaced my MC, I had a MC that was leaking fluid into the rubber rod boot.

Can I use this out of 84 2.3 with my coupe that has monarch disks in front and the stock drums in the rear?
