Need a pair of 4X4.5 14s

Post #1 by cobraguy » Fri Jul 17, 2015 2:20 pm

I'm looking to upsize my front wheels to 14". Looking for 2 stock 14" 4 on 4.5 in SoCal. Anybody got a pair laying around. I have a pair of aluminum slotted mags I'd trade 14X6 4 on 4.5.

I don't have any to get rid of, but to widen your search - your wheel donor vehicles are squarebody Falcon wagon & Ranchero and 6 cyl Mustang. AFAIK, the very late '60s and early '70s vehicles with the 4lug 4.5 BC had a different form and you would not be able to use the old style wheel covers (assuming that you are using the "dog dish" style of hub cap). I did this upgrade back in the very late '70s. This past year I had custom 6 x 15 wheels built up using my 14 inch 4 lug wheel centers - looks stock, fills the wheel well better than the 14 inch tires and tracks straighter (the wandering was partially because I was running 185/70 on the 4.5 inch wide wheels). Picture in my signature is with the car still wearing the 14 inch wheels.
