Maverick 14x6 5 lug

Post #1 by Eric m » Wed Feb 01, 2017 7:40 pm

I picked these up for 50 bucks. I know they are ford. Think they are early 70's maverick. Fit fine except the center hole is 2.75 and the stock mustang wheel center hole is 2.5 inches. I will be relying on the lugs to center the wheels is that ok?

They look like they maybe a disk brake type wheel, there wont be any problems using them as is or you could also have a .250 inch spacer ring made if your concerned about it. Good luck
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

Hi, X2. Many aftermarket wheels do not register on the hub, they just use the lug nuts. Be careful and the wheel will center properly. Good luck
B RON CO. Still workin' on it!

Thanks. I got the steel wheels so I can still use my wire wheel covers on the mustang only with wider tires.
