Post #1 by tom954x4 » Thu Jul 06, 2017 4:37 pm

I need to replace one of my brake bleeders for the front disk brakes on my '95. what is the correct diameter? I bought a pair with a 3/8 in diameter for the threads and it is too large.

well, after looking more closely at what I bought they were 7/16 inch, and the local parts stores seem to think, :bang: , that my brakes need a 7/16 inch bleeder. Wrong. 3/8 is the correct size, length is 1 1/8 inch. My brakes must have the factory original bleeders. The replacement 3/8 bleeders I bought did not have the unthreaded 1/4 inch length shoulder at the bottom of the bleeder but they worked anyway. I believe the correct OEM Ford part is Motorcraft BKBOE-2 but have not seen it with my own eyeballs and compared to the what I pulled off the truck.
