200 straight six oil pan rear sump

Post #1 by Fordbronco » Mon Feb 26, 2018 11:00 pm

I have a 200 cid that needs a new oil pan.
It is not the original engine in a 66 bronco. The engine must have been in a 2 wheel drive, it doesnt have a rear sump. The I need should have a rear sump and pick up. If any has one or knows where to get one.

I have a spare 170 engine, it looks like the oil pan might be right. Does anyone know if the bolt pattern is the same? I prefer to just get a different oil pan and leave the 170 alone.
Thanks
Dustin

The oil pan on the 170 will fit your 200.

The 200 (3.3L) in any Fox bodied vehicle (Fairmont, Zephyr, 80-83 Mustang) has a rear sump. Make sure you get the oil pickup.

Hope this helps.

Yep it will fit and that is what I did when swapping my 170 for the 200. On classicbroncos.com there was a member parting out a 170 from a Bronco and he probably had a pan. May want to check over there.
