Cylinder Head, Rocker Shaft and Push Rods, Carb and Linkage

Post #1 by revherbel » Tue Sep 19, 2017 11:03 am

So I have completed the swap to a converted head with larger valves and 1.6 rockers (noticeable bump in power--very noticeable--if anyone's considering). That means I have some stuff for sale. Everything listed here was fully functioning and operational when removed (in June). I just don't need it any more. The VW commuter is what it is, the truck is a V8, and the future classic we're shopping for will be a V8 also. So, time to sell the following:

1) Cylinder head (1969 if I remember correctly--larger 1v opening, anyhow): $100
2) gas pedal and linkage from firewall to the carb (this came out of a 1963 Comet) $50
3) carb spacer with PCV port for the stock 1v, including fuel filter that's nearly new (just the way it timed out) $40
4) stock 1v $75
5) rocker shaft assembly and the rods to go with it $75

All items are located in Fargo, ND. If you would need things shipped, shipping costs would be above and beyond agreed to sales price. I'd have to find boxes as necessary as well, so if you need it shipped, you may need to give me a day or two to find a box or two. I will be driving to Minneapolis/St. Paul and Kansas City at different points this fall and winter, if you prefer to meet me and make an exchange then. My wife and son will be making a short trip to St. Louis in October as well.

Mkshamong,
I sent you a PM. I'll be there in a couple weeks. I can easily bring the cylinder head along with.

That sounds good! I'll bring the head with me. I'll tell you which motel to meet us at. Looking forward to meeting you and hearing about your project.

Are there any parts that you are still trying to sell?

I just PMd falconcritter about the assembly. I PMd another member about the spacer.

However, I have only sold the cylinder head at this time. I still have everything else yet.

Carb spacer has now been sold. That leaves only the rocker set up and the 1v carb and stock linkage for the pedal to throttle.

Is it a stock rocker assembly or is it the 1.6? If 1.6, I'm interested...

Stock. I put the higher ratio 1.6 on my new rebuilt and modified head, but the what's left is the stock rockers.
