Large log head with Autolite 1101 on a 1966 200.

Post #1 by markguyver » Mon Nov 27, 2017 8:03 pm

I am selling a 1966 200 with a rebuilt large log head coded EOBE-6068-BB (81-83 200 ci I believe), and Autolite 1101 and headers.

The set up is super clean. I bought it as a unit for a Mustang project that didn't happen.

Please see pictures.

Sorry, I can't ship this.

Please don't hesitate to email me of PM me with any questions.

Still available.

I have been asked about selling pieces. To me it is a really reasonably priced package with everything you want for a solid upgrade in performance compared to a typical small six (including vales that can take unleaded) from a typical small six without going all in on a cross-flow head and such. I would like to sell it as a unit if possible.

If I get separate interest on most of the pieces, I may reconsider.

PM me with any questions.

Thanks,
Mark

Based on the sellers response it looks sold. It was a pretty good deal. Hope you find something what is it going into?

I have a 1965 Fairlane 2dr Sedan. It has 39K original miles on it. I've owned it for 30 years. It has a 200 w/3spd on the column. After a 21 year garaged slumber, I took her out last year and have gone through all the vitals. New fuel tank, sender, fuel lines, brake lines, hoses, complete brake system overhaul.
It's a great, simple car that I really love. The motor listed seemed like a good deal.
I'm probably going to do what I can to get the most out of the original motor.
I bought a DUI system, and a header system that should liven it up just a bit-nothing crazy.
I will probably look to swap out the 3 speed next year for a T5. I will need to study that a bit.

Thanks for the reply!

That is a great car to have and owning it for 30 years is pretty cool. I have owned my Bronco for about the same it is a fixture in my environment. You can hop up a 200 no problem and if you find one you can rebuild it while still driving your Fairlane until ready to swap. That is a good plan because a later 200 has a better head and 7 main bearings so better for performance mods.
Definitely get a copy of the Falcon Performance Handbook as it is a valuable resource for maintenance, reference and different stages of high performance modifications. It covers T5 swaps also.

Folks:

This motor is still available. I had a couple offers to part it out and didn't bite. It also comes with a cross pipe set-up to before the mufflers that matches to the headers. Please PM me. I don't know why I never got a notification of the posts. Sorry.
