Feeler

Post #1 by 69stang_250 » Thu Oct 25, 2018 7:13 am

Hey guys, I am sad to say that I am going to be pulling the 250 out of the mustang. It is a great engine and is very fun, but like everyone else I cant leave well enough alone and I found a good 351w out of an F350 that I am building up to go into the mustang.

I will be selling the engine as it comes out the car with flywheel, dual out header, distributor, MSD box, and would like to sell it with the fitech as well. I am curious if any of you guys would be interested in the engine? I know this should probably be in the for sale section, but thought I would put it in here first as I will not be pulling the engine till January.

If you guys have any questions just let me know.

Sorry about that.

Located in the Covington Louisiana area and will be removing the engine 14th January.
Price will be $3500 for the engine, ignition system, fitech, and exhaust. I have a good bit more than that in it, but that is what I am looking at.

Fitech works great on it. Only thing you have to do is make sure that the engine temp gets up to 185F that way it will start learning. Engine cranks with no issues, idles good at 950rpm, throttle response is great, and manual tuning is quick and easy.

Pretty good price. Too bad you are too far away for me.

Did you mount the FiTech directly on the intake without an adapter plate? Can not tell from the picture.

I cant get it down that low rpm with the camshaft I have installed. I did try to drop the rpm down to 800 just to see what it would do and it Just does not run very well at all. 950rpm seems to be the sweet spot. I am sure a slightly smaller cam and 112 LSA would idle better than what it does now, but for what it is, it runs very strong with the 280 110 LSA cam.

There is an adaptor plate installed on it.

I know at this time you're not wanting to part out, but if that changes - I may be interested in the EFI.
