'Sorry for the delay - I was out on a remote well, and for some reason, couldn't post replies!
I believe you can go to the GV site @ www.gearvendors.com
. I got mine for ~$2700, just before a planned price increase ( to offset a gear upgrade dealing with the super-torque diesel stuff) . Then there was another ~$125 - to shorten the rear driveshaft.
IF you can find a used one WITH (!!!) the right adapter, you can save some $$$. GV will rebuild ANY of their units for ~1/3 of the current price. A new adapter was running ~ $600, so you have to do a little homework to determine what's the best "deal".
When I was looking, GV's were running about $1000-$1500 on Ebay. Add $800 for a rebuild ( worst case) and $600 for the right adapter - and you end up in the ballpark price of a new one... Find a GOOD one, WITH the right adapter, and you can end up WAY ahead!!!
Here in the Rockies, having 3 extra gear options is always nice ( the pump in the GV won't spin fast enough for 1st/over.) I use 3/O & 4/O every time!!! (The 3/0 is like a 10% "under" of ther regular 4th gear).
I 'spose I should admit, though, I just leased a "road goat" - mostly for the auto/OD/cruise control. Work had me piling TOO many miles on my lil mule, and it doesn't have cruise...
'82 FSP Bronco. Just about every mod ever mentioned. ( Too much to list - or remember...)
