Probably not the first or the last thread that ends up asking this question but will deleting the smog pump be a good idea if it's frozen up?

If you don't need it for testing, yes, just remove it and use the eliminator bracket or a shorter belt.
1985 Bronco. 309ci I6, NP435, 4.56 gears, Detroit locker and tru-trac, 4" lift, and 37" swamper tires. The 309 is 9.75:1 CR with a Schneider 140H cam, 4bbl, roller rockers, larger valves, and headers.

My truck is almost back together but I can't find a belt that will fit I already took off the pump so does anybody know of a belt that will work?

My truck has no smog pump im pretty sure the accessories are stock. I use belt 25-060815

Thats for a 4.9
