Post #1 by falconcritter » Sun Oct 22, 2017 9:42 am

I am looking to get back in the Six Life Again ! The wife and I are Camping out in our Pop-Up and the whole time driving too state parks these two years I am remembering Cruising Around Florida in my 65 Comet ( when my board name was CometCritter ) . I really miss it ! Going to swap meets , digging through junk , looking for deals , working on my ride ! So looking for the best deal ... I prefer a Two Door for my Aussie 250-2V , but will not overlook a 4 Door , ( the wife says station wagon is out of the question ) , here is what I have found ... I would really like to put my eyeballs on this ride ..... I got a shipping quote of $879.00 from San Fran too Jax ,Fl ...Tempting

all three seem to be nice cars, an worth looking at. i have had two 66-70 falcons, one six one V8 and i liked them both. they were also four doors.

the 65 falcon is similar to my 64 falcon, same body style in fact, so you know i like it as well.

as for the comet, i almost bought one years ago. it was sold before i could get to it though.

so i would say any of those cars are worth looking at, and even owning. i would probably go for the 70 falcon though, since i already have a 64 :D

I bought a 65 just like the one you have listed last year. The car was in great shape and the seller wanted $9500, I offered $6500. He didn’t take it right away but four months later gave me a call back and I have the car. He found out that there aren’t a lot of people that want to buy a wussy 6cly car for that price. Being in the Northeast and it was during the winter didn’t hurt either, plus I wasn’t in a big hurry. You might want to offer him a price you feel is right and your number and sit back and wait. In the meantime keep on looking.
I have seen many 6cly cars for sale for quite awhile because too many people have gone over to the dark side and believe the only way to go is to stuff a big block V8 in a car.

I have been looking for a car to build up too and the prices seem to be getting higher all the time. Those three all are very sharp candidates, my personal faveriote of all them is that 1965 Futura, LOL, I can all ready see your Aussie 2V setting right in it. Good luck on picking one out, as its going to be a hard choice.

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

Babba says : The 65 Falcon is my Favorate !
Critter says : it is his too . But it takes longer to come up to the money mark . I hope he still has it at the end of next month ! All I have to do is be patient ! It is really sticking up my crawl !
