Raced the Hudson again

I took the Hudson out again on Wednesday night. I had some trouble with tire spin in 2nd and 3rd gear, but when it finally hooked up good, I ran a 14.81 @ 91.29 mph. I'm figuring out how the car launches too. My reaction times were .011, .084, .063, .051, and .080.

Hudson Nut, what does your hudson weigh??

That old flathead really turns on. What do you think that engine cranks out in horsepower?? It must put out at least 240-260 HP

For a flathead the numbers you put down are awsome. William

The car weigs 2700 lbs, On a chassis dyno, it made 186 hp at the rear wheels at 4200 rpm, and peak torque is 275 ft lbs at 2700 rpm.

and (butting in) it exceeds the Moroso speed computers numbers and mine. I calculated from 185.1 rear wheel hp (thats 247 hp) and 2700 pounds:-

*Standing Quarter Mile 14.23 sec at about 97 mph

*Rpm at end of I/4 mile(1320 ft) = 4800 rpm in top gear

*Standing 1/8 mile (660 ft) = 10.00 sec

*Standing 330 ft = 6.77 sec

*Standing 60 ft = 2.53 sec.

Actual numbers are far an away better than this!

Just needs a set of 3.7:1's gears buddy!

Yep. Orphan Osmosis. With a focus on Oz MOSIS, Adam!.

I still can't get my head around an alloy plate on top of a Hudson block with valves poking out the wrong side in the wrong direction, making such an obsecene amount of power and torque.

Evil Danny, you rock!
