I turned the key again today :D :cool: , almost 12 months ago since it was last running and that was before all the body work and paint. Not long to rego now. I have to get the DVD player fitted. as well as the auto fitted out with a manual kit, finish the paint work and the sign writing etc. Sort out the LPG (Propane). :beer:
 
5th June. I had my first short drive today out of my workshop ready to go back to the paint shop to finish off a few things. Only First & Reverse in the Auto until I get the manual shift kit fitted.

Installed the DVD / Stereo system yesterday. Sorry no photos yet. System is hidden in the glove box with a 400 Watt Amp in the sleeper with four 350 Watt Speakers also located in the sleeper. The flat screen TV works well with the system.
 
Forgot to add ;) :duh:

The body & paint shop I am using specialise in Mack Truck Restoration so on his advise I am now adding a lot of metal nut covers to any visible bolt on the truck similar to these
chrome_plastic_lug_nut_covers.gif
just to give it some more bling.

Can any one suggest where I may be able to buy a Manual valve kit for C6 Auto either in Australia or the USA ? Preferably a reputable place. :D :thanks:
 
August 1st valve body is back in and the F4 has been for a test drive. A few little problems to fix but otherwise I am very happy how it has all come together. :D I have 14.6 Km's on the speedo now. :D

Nice! That's a bit of driving, mate. More than just around the block, unless, of course, you happen to live on a very large block.

:D :thanks: Well it was to the next town and back about 9 miles. :party: As the mate who went with me said it was a credit to my build work. I also see it as a credit to those who have helped me build it. :beer:

Only if some one can shoot the video for me :cry: I have not caught up how to even post videos on the net. Let alone have time to drive and shoot them at the same time. ;)
 
I have fixed a few small problems and will now move on to do the sign writing. Stay tuned for more photos.

No, the model truck here was known as a Freighter. Phone number is the year of the cab and the weight converts to 3 Imperial British ton - 1 hundred weight - 3 quarters of a hundred weight and that is the tare of the truck - 2800kg.
