Brake Lathe Adapters

Post #1 by CoupeBoy » Tue Jun 28, 2016 5:20 pm

Lets say hypothetically I bought a very cheap brake lathe with NO adapters.
Could a guy make his own ON the lathe?

If you know of anybody selling AMMCO or Accuturn cups/springs/cones.. I may need some random parts...

:hmmm: Hi CoupeBoy.You might try going to your favorite search engine and typing in "aamcobrakelathe/parts".
Might find just what you need.As for making parts,I think that a regular metal lathe would be the better option.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

I've been looking at kits and tools.
I need to locate an Ammco 6900 twin cut adapter.
I've seen some partial kits that would serve most of my brake drum cutting needs.
There are a couple companies that sell 3 jaw adapters like a "real" lathe would use. ($600ish -- ouch)
