Well, I do not know if this is the right place to put this topic but as it is about a Ford 300 – Straight Six Drag engine I will ask you' ll a question as follows .....
Before I want to let you know that I am happy to return to this forum. The matter that brings me here is on the Maverick Super Stock that belonged to Clement LaChance from Carmel, NY - USA. I knew that Clem died in December, 2013 and it was a sad news for me and for a lot of guys there in the USA as well. In 2012 I talked with Clem on the phone and he told me that his Maverick was for sale, so he offered me his car, but at that moment I began to see a way to bring the car to Brazil but unfortunately the cost of that Maverick here would increase significantly so at that time I did not get the money to buy and to bring the car to my Country. After that I did not talk to him anymore, then now I’d like to know if that Maverick has been sold or not ? If anyone here in this Forum can help me on this matter it will be very grateful.
Thank you,
Inline Six

I don't have any useful information about the 'Magnum Six' car but I got to see it in action at the Dover Drags' reuinon a few years ago at Lebanon Valley Speedway. I didn't get to stage with Clem LaChance but witnessed the sound and fury of the screaming six Maverick .

Thank you powerband for the information and for the videos as well. I was wrong about the date when Clem passed away so it was in December 2012 and not December 2013 as I mentioned before.
If anyone else knows about the fate of this Maverick tell me because it will be very much appreciated.
Thank you,

Inline Six, in the past I have seen some of the videos of his car and heard of the "Mad Frenchman's" Maverick mentioned several times on this forum sorry I can't be much help to you. But I do think you might get lots more responses to your post if you put it in the 240 -300 "Big Six" forum, that's where most of the 300 big six racers hangout. Good luck

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone!
1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

Hey bubba, thank you for your reply. Before to put this Topic in the Maverick Round Up Forum, exactly one month ago on November 29th, 2015 I had put the same Topic in the 240-300 Big Six Forum and what I' ve got so far are 274 views and 0 answers. It's unbelievable to happen in a specialized forum that discuss Ford 240-300 Inline Big Six engines!
Thank you very much for the help,

Mad Frenchman Maverick FOUND. About 6-weeks ago I went to CT from Florida to look at Clem's Maverick in the flesh. My trip was prompted by my long term search for the original Preparation H Maverick which I owned and campaigned back in the early 70's. For anyone who may be interested in purchasing Clem's Maverick you can start the process by responding to this post or by sending me a pm. Hope this helps clear up the mystery and results in Clem's Maverick returning to quarter mile competition somewhere on this great planet of ours. World Champ Gramp

... here's an update on the 'Mad Frenchman' Maverick that Clem LaChance built and drove to be one of the fastest SIX cars ever to scorch the 1/4 mile:
