67 Hub Caps

Post #1 by Humpbackshooter » Thu Oct 06, 2016 5:30 pm

Got a question concerning my hub caps. I was cleaning them off last night when I notice that what I thought was grease may have been some paint that was spayed on them. this is between the ribs.... Is this correct or is it just grease. They all seems to have it on them. Cant post a pic or I would show them.

If you will look oppsite the valve stem....you can see where I cleaned off some of the "paint".

Cant see the photo but stock 67 wheel covers do have argent (kind of a grey silver color) painted between the raised "spokes" or "ribs".

X2 Ford painted that area between the ribs in Argent. Good luck

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

That's was the answer I was looking for. Although, I have cleaned off 3 of the ribs. Soooooo I guess i'll have to clean off all of them and have just a chrome hub cap. That will not look too bad I guess.
Thanks for your response.
