 good catch drag-200stang, yep it's missing the wedding ring (cam spacer ring) too.

Sorry for my not understand. Is there just one spacer I am missing, or a spacer and a "ring" for the spacer as well?

There is only one spacer ring! (y) In the below video link by site member "echo1955" you can see all the parts labeled at the 8:50 to 9:10 mark in the video. This also shows the correct installation of the parts too. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gg_VFXm827w

This next video shows how to install of the timing chain set at 0:0 to 4:18. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bbUeLAp6XaI

This last video will show you how to Degree the Camshaft if you would like. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zj-GA494SJQ

Good luck

Bubba 22349 can you possibly get echo's vid links in a locked sticky at the top of this section, with an appropriate header
I have ran out of fingers to count how many engine's have been hurt by these two hard to catch issues! and the cam degreeing is nice also.

+1 For the sticky - I have never heard about this before and wouldn't have known. And thanks a million for helping me out. This community rocks.

 drag-200stang & schaferstephen, that's a very good idea  they may be of some help to those trying their first Ford Six engine build or repair! Ok I will work at putting ehco's video's together into a sticky soon as I get my next day off. (y)

Good point. However if Bubba posts it you can take it to the bank.

:D As requested I have made a post (and it's now a sticky at the top of the small six forum) with links to all of "echo1955" videos showing his mild performance 200 engine rebuild form start to finish. Check it out (see the below link) his videos cover all most everything on how to build a Small Ford Six correctly the first time! Good luck (y)

I sent this to my machinist, and he asked me if I had any measurements for the indicated hole pattern?

Also, can anyone confirm that the chamfer is on the ID?

If anyone has a picture or two of this spacer, that sure would be great... Can anyone help? Thanks again, y'all.

There is no hole pattern, the highlighter marks are to highlight the chamfer on the inside at least that what I call it...It is there to clear the machining of the snout so it does not sit uneven . If you look at your pic of the missing plug you can see it.

Hi, hope this helps

Check out the "Rusty Cheap" post in the parts for sale area. Bet there is one there that just needs cleaned up.

Hope you folks don't mind me tacking onto this thread but as I look at the pic in post #7 compared to the 1st vid at 9:03, which is the correct orientation of the thrust plate? Post #7 has the oil groves facing out while the vid has them facing in. I pulled mine apart so long ago I cannot remember.

Thank in advance.

Thrust plate groves needs to be facing out (as in above picture post #7) this is so it can oil the cam timing gear thrust! Good luck (y)

So grooves go out. Then echo1955/Roy P has it wrong?

I'm getting ready to install my cam. I've never done this before.
I've read reread the archive "Camshaft Install Tips" and tried to look around here and looked over the Handbook. Roy is the only photo I found where it shows the cam, the spacer, the thrust plate, and cam dowel pin (I mean, plus schafterstephen above). Any other advice that isn't usually mentioned? Is there a torque spec for the thrust plate bolts? (Sorry I don't own shop manual.)
