Splicing off the light switch, which wire?

Post #1 by spacecadet » Mon Aug 05, 2019 8:50 am

I've tried searching, I can only find low res copies of the wiring diagram...

1968 Mustang Coupe

I'm installing a gauge and I want to tap into the light switch, does anyone know which wire, number or color? The loom looks original.

Thank you-

For gauge illumination circuit, you could also tap/splice into the fuse panel /wiring if simpler to ID.

I would like for it to work off the light switch. You are suggesting just wiring the light to switch on power?

You're right, you need to be after the Light Swx's Rheostat dimmer ...
