oil pump

was looking at pictures of an oil pump for 1964 200 6cyl and the outlet is vertical, not horizontal, don't think it will work

Yeah the 200 Six oil pump is from a totally different engine family (Falcon Six) so it won’t fit in a 223. You need to look at the 1964 223 oil pump that is going to be a bolt in, or make an adapter to go from the 300 DS II distributors 5/16 hex shaft to your current oil pump drive shaft. Good luck
