Well, I had a 1967 mustang with a 200ci for a few months in 1987 but that got totaled by my brother. Never had another ford until I finally found a 1961 E-100 five window, but that already had a 289ci swapped in. Bought that the same day I bought my girl a bwm. She finally asked me to sell her bmw because she wanted a round body ranchero. Found a 1961 with no motor but it was a good first restoration for her. The next day I found a “parts” car. Turned out to be a matching number original 170ci and everything worked once I swapped the plugs to 1-6 instead of 6-1, but that wouldn’t really be a project car would it? So now she has two 1961 rancheros, a 170, another 144 and in a cpl days, a 1967 200ci. I restore classic Japanese motorcycles but haven’t really spent much time on classic cars since the mid 1980’s. Lots of questions!!! Thanks for having me!

Welcome the the Ford Six forums Nawashi2b, sounds like you will be building a few Fords now! I am sure that the site members can answer all your questions on these classic Fords. Good luck on those Ranchero's.
A bad day Drag Racing is still better than a good day at work!

I am still hunting for a project car to build but with my current low budget it's not looking so good. My Ex- Fleet of Sixes these are all long gone! :bang: 1954 Customline 223 3 speed with O/D, 1963 Fairlane project drag car with BB6, 1977 Maverick 250 with C4, 1994 F-150 a 300 with 5 speed.

Hooray, more Roundbody Rancheros!!
James - '62 Ranchero (200cid), '71 LeSabre (464cid)

The ONLY safety device we need is a 6" sharpened steel spike bolted to the center of the steering wheel of EVERY vehicle.
Emergency Rooms and Funeral Homes will be busy for a week or so, then I predict a dramatic drop in vehicle accidents.
