Hey guys, I'm looking for some information on an engine swap. Basically I have a 1977 f150 supercab, with a blown motor, and a good 232 sitting beside it. I want to know how to connect an AMC 6 to a ford c6.
I use a 1979 f100 with a 300 and a three speed as my daily.
An AMC/SBF adapter will cost a lot more than a running 300. Mounts, plumbing, etc all more effort than spending a couple hundred bucks on a fresher Ford
If there is a Jeep forum, you might be able to get help from someone there. That's a very good AMC engine you have sitting around. It's plenty powerful and a tough engine. I have a 1962 Rambler Classic with the predecessor to the 232 six (196 OHV Cast Iron engine with California emissions).
