All Small Six Electric choke for Autolite 1101?

This relates to all small sixes

If anyone here is running an Autolite 1101 on their small 6 I'd like some input please.

I want to convert to electric from hot air choke and Google can't seem to find one, mostly because it seems to think 1100 and 1101 are interchangeable.... But the 1101 bakelite choke cap is smaller. If an electric choke for the 1101 isn't available I guess I'd like to know that too... And I would think a hot water choke like some early 60's Lincoln AFBs is completely off the table ;-)

Someone has a conversion kit. Might check with vintage inlines.
I believe a Holley electric choke cap will work.
You need a full 12V for the Holley.
You also need to install a fitting where the old heat line went. Do not block it cause the electric choke element will burn up. Holley choke housings have a screw on fitting with a filter to keep dirt out.
Ford in a 1980 truck with a 2bbl carb also had an electric choke that was powered by alternator stator voltage which is only 9V.

Thanks wsa. The electric choke on my Holley 4150 on another engine measures the same as my Autolite 1100 electric cap. They are too large of a diameter to fit the 1101. I'm not seeing another Holley electric choke cap diameter unless if is maybe for the 4180 Holley on Ford trucks? I cannot find dimensions for that bakelite cap online. Does anyone have a link? Looks like the Holley number was maybe 6152B?

If you can’t find anything that fits in an electric choke you could always use a length of 1/4 inch fuel line and make one that coils around one of your header tubes 3 or 4 turns. Leave the header end open to draw air into the choke cover. There is also a choke line repair kit that would also work check out your local auto parts stores. Best of luck

yeah, the stove is easy to make (Help! § @ big box auto prts stores have em on a green/yellow/red blow pack peg board crd) if U want pre made.
I wonder if the standard ele choke frm a YF would work. I got mine (in line but un-needed fuse) off the stator. 12v is too hot~

Thanks Chad. I looked at the YF & YF-A, and they look about the right size from the pictures, but the bi-metallic spring is wound in the opposite direction from my hot air choke, so it would close the 1101 choke as the engine warms... the spring appears to be firmly anchored to the heating element (which makes sense for heat transfer) so it's not like I could flip the spring over or swap in another spring...
I had called a place in Georgia called Carburetor Specialist on the advice if a friend, and the guy thought he knew of one and would call back later that day. After a few days I heard nothing so I posted here earlier this week. Then Friday afternoon 3/5 he called back and says he found one. I ordered it. If it fits and works I'll post back.
Meantime I bought the Dorman 55111 choke kit from my local NAPA because I didn't expect the guy from Georgia to call back, and I've found nothing.

bet U can do 1 from a take-a-part. The steps ona linkage wrk supremely well when sorted.
Really no matter, as above - ye ol 'stove' wrks very well - 38 yrs 4 me on the bronk. I may
use it on the '74 RBS if needed~
