I have a '66 200 that is getting an '82 head. The head is milled .070 and I'll be using a Felpro gasket. The net change the lifter will see will be about .050 more preload. Rockers are non-adjustable. Is this ok or do I need to correct it? Thanks.

Hi, I am not an engine builder / machinist, just a guy who has done plenty of valve jobs way back when, we put the rebuilt head on with whatever gasket set we got and used the old parts if they were good. As long as the pushrod balls and rocker arm assembly is in good shape I wouldn't worry. Good luck

at one point they recommend the adjustables. How much needs milled off to begin to think abt using them?
Is it at the point that a different piston (or C.rod) is being used?

From what I have read the lifters will bleed down to make up for the .070 milled head. I milled .060 off my head then used a set of .060 shorter push rods.
