Stock 250 2v valve stem seals?

I could use some advice from some of you more seasoned folks...
I have a 66 falcon with a 200 inline six running the Aussie 250 2v head. After installing the valve stem seals, I get clicking from the valves at all times, and it intensifies under load. The umbrella style seals I used appear to get stuck on the pedestal instead of riding the valve stem. Any thoughts on what kind of seal I could use to correct this?

no but I hear there's some non-umbrells style used and the word "vinton" used with the valve seals of choice.
May B ask around at the sellers?

Hi, Valve guide seals wont make it tick.. You most likely need to readjust the valve lash.
