ignition conversion?

hi again, is there a problem with this ignition set up? this is a picture of a '64 falcon i did several years ago, but i sold the car before i had a chance to drive it.

It was extremely low cost to do.

i'm thinking about doing the same thing to a 170ci 1964 econoline i just got.




 
Duraspark II distributor
HEI ignition Module
TFI coil.

Should work great.

The only issue that you may run into with a '64 170 will be the distributor drive shaft size (1/4" vs 5/16")

People have found work arounds for this issue.. a custom hex shaft that tapers from 5/16" down to 1/4" for example.
Or swapping out the oil pump
Or using the original points style distributor and keeping the HEI/TFI combo.

You've got plenty of options.

dang, i wish i could remember what i did with the distributor drive. are the drive gears compatible?
