Valve Spring Installation

Just when I thought everything was good to go, I made the mistake of reading the shop manual!! The manual says to make sure valve springs are installed with the end that has the last 2 coils touching on the base of the head, not on the valve tip (top). I didn't even realize the springs had a top or bottom...I will check to see what I have, but chances are some might be 'upside down.' Does it matter that much for a daily driver, not a racer with fear of valve float?? Do '65 200 springs even have a top and bottom? Thanks!

I'm looking at a cylinder head next to me, and the stock springs appear to be the same on each end. I think you're fine.

Thanks, I looked all over the net, and it SEEMS like pre-1963 the springs were different, and had a top/bottom, but like you, post 63 I can't discern a difference.
