200 Main Bearings

So I got my rotating assembly back today, crank was ground, polished, and everything was balanced.

I went to order bearings, and I see I have 2 choices of style, full groove, and half groove for the mains. So Which do I want?
If it matters this is for my low boost turbo econoline work truck build.

I mostly use the Clevite 77 bearings and full grove. Good luck

A stock '69 250 I just took apart had the half groove bearings, crank was clean with no scoring so them must work ok...

Hi, get the clevite77. I don't think the groove really makes a difference. Get plastigauge and check your rod and main clearance. You would be surprised to see how the clearance can change on a rod bearing at minimum or maximum torque. Good luck
