On Bob's thread it was asked about a way to prime, "pre lube an engine on first start up" an oil pump without the drive gouging up the block bearing surface. Take an old points distributor and remove the gear and drive the points cam with a 18 mm deep socket.
About the same as 78 Granada's way.

 The above works well. However,if you have a QUALITY hardware supply locally, you could also get a section of Allen wrench type stock that fits the oil pump and use that.Used to be able to buy it in lengths from 6" to two feet long.Get the long longest piece and cut it to the size that you need.Stick it in your drill and spin it up.Easy peasy.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

That's kind of what I did before , but what happened is it got against the dissy bearing bore in the block and gouged it up! A distributor in place fixes that by guiding it.
