I hang out with one ex power boat engineer from Timaru with Ford affliations. He says catagoricaly that even with hardfilled with block rock, the DOHC and SOHC block splits bores and has massive block distortion by 1800 hp. That's where things have stood for a while. Which is kind of what I'd expect . I'm pretty sure a ohv Ford six wouldn't be as strong, but any turbo engine making 1800 hp has to make at least as many lb-fts at 5252 rpm, and that torque at such a low rpm is impressive.
What a freeking tractor a 4 liter turbo engine making 1800 hp would be!
