170 bore question

I am rebuilding a 170 engine any suggestions on overbore I want to make more power but not make the engine "fragile" any info would help thanks.

Just bore it to the next oversize that will clean up the bore. Horsepower is made in the head and with the proper cam. The only horsepower added with a bore job is the cleaning up of the cyl. walls giving the rings a better seal.

Agreed 100%. Do yourself a favor and buy a copy of the Falcon Six Performance Handbook. It's a great common-sense guide to performance upgrades.
