170 t0 250 crossflow swap! Help!

Hello: I'm very interested in replacing my 170 with an Aussie 250 crossflow. I have a 62' Comet S-22 What is the difference in motor : mounts ect? I plan on using a later model 3spd standard trans to handle the extra HP. Does anyone have any info or advise? I need all the help I can get. Thanks a bunch, Brian Oregon,USA

HELLO COMETCRAZY,
ive done a 200 non crossflow to a 250 crossflow conversion on a 67 falcon
i took the stock mounts off the block which bolted straight up to the 200 and bolted them to the 250 no problem . you will probably end up with a spare bolt hole on the new block.
