170 to 200 swap

If I switch out my original 170 for a 200,will the value of the car drop considerably or will the increase in power make up for the difference.I would really like a little more power.

95% of the people out there can't tell the difference between those two engines visually, so I think you would be OK to swap. If you really want to keep it looking stock put all your old accessory stuff (valve cover, fuel pump, etc.) on the 200.

Unless your car is a concours showcar, I can't see where the value would drop at all, especially if you did like I did and kept it stock looking.

From what I've seen, it'll likely increase the value, at least among potential buyers who will actually drive it.
