I was hoping to find someone out there that has heard of swapping a 170 to a 250 in a 67 bronco and if it,s possable because of the front axel
or any other advise someone may have.
To me it sounds like a great swap :D thkz for any input

Did you read the engine swap sticky? If not, go back and look "^up^" a couple of threads!!!!

Hi 67bronco

Check out http://classicbroncos.com/forums/index.php there are folks there with the 250 in their broncos. (most are v8 guys tho).
Still its an informative site but not as technically oriented as this one. The guys here can give you info right down to the last detail.

67 BRONCO, I have a 66 bronco and I put a 250 in it and have been running it for about 10 years now its great. Anyway I heard that there might be an econoline van that had a 250 rear sump pan that would clear the front axle--- maybe but I never found one. the 250 pan is much wider at the top than a rear sump 170 or 200 pan found on the EB or on some later mustangs. I cut the bottom of the 250 pan out with a cutting torch, cut the top of the rear sump pan off a 200 and welded the bottom of the 200 pan to the top of the 250 pan. It is a very easy job for a good welder and solves all axle clearance problems. ......Larry

Thank you Larry for the tip

did your gas milage stay in the 20s :?:
