Hi all, I’m attempting to plan a paint job to match my interior dash. When I look at the paint samples, it looks like sultana turquoise is the closest match, but when I see examples of other cars claiming the color, they look like a much lighter shade. Just curious on thoughts on this. Sorry if I’m in the wrong spot.IMG_8458.jpegIMG_8456.pngIMG_8459.png

I sure do! Struggling to find the proper one for my engine since it’s a transplant. I think 75 Maverick might be it. I will look for a color code thanks IMG_8460.jpeg

If it’s “W” that’s “Adriatic Green” lol neither the exterior or dash are close to that

At this point I think you can just pick whatever color you like. That dash has likely faded or darkened over time, new paint, even if the original color, is unlikely to match now. For your engine manual, I see the tune-up specs sticker on the valve cover is still pretty legible, is there a date anywhere on it? Perhaps an aftermarket manual like a Chiltons that covers several years would work.

1976 on that sticker! But the casting code on the bottom of the sticker doesn’t match anything I’ve seen on the car so far on the block or head

I also looked up some pictures of 1960 Falcons in Adriatic Green and I liked them a lot. It's kind of a pale mint green. And from what I could see, but not very well, they had the same color dash as you have. I think your car has been repainted. Look for signs of the original paint as you work on the car and maybe take some parts off.

I do like the color. But I think when I get to it, I’m going to go with the sultana turquoise. Who knows maybe paint the dash too. But I think it’ll match well.
