1962 Comet Exhaust Question

Hello All,

I have found a factory cold rolled steel oem exhaust for my Comet on craigslist. From what I understand, the exhaust as well as my manifold is 1.75". I was wondering that if I upgrade in the future to a 2" outlet exhaust manifold, would it still bolt up to the stock 1.75" exhaust? I am not planning any major power upgrades, but from what I understand, the 2" outlet manifolds are stronger and seal better.

You would need to go to a muffler shop and have them make you a 2-inch adapter when you do the manifold change but other than that yes it will work.

When you get ready for another manifold if a new one is in the budget Toms Broncos has a real nice one of the 200ci design. I have one.
