I’m installing a 1966 200 & C4 into my 62 Squire wagon. My C4 is the “Green Dot.” Transmission.

Here’s my question that seems to ask more questions than answers. And I’ve never seen any photos anywhere on the internet. Does someone know which mini three (3) bolt starter from an FE engine will fit this setup? it’s the136 teeth welded ring wheel torque converter. I’m trying to clear headers.

I’d post the many starters people have suggested on multiple forums, but no one has ever done it or posted a picture saying it works or not? Plus there’s way too many suggestions.

Thanks for any help!

Don't know if this could help:

You could contact some mini starter companies and ask their tech dept.

No one on here knows for sure what will fit, but Summit told one of our members that Power Master 9106 would fit a 67 200 C4 and I do not think there is any difference from the 66.
A this point you will have to get it and see. If you do please come back and tell us so we can help others.

Unable to locate a Powermaster 9106. Maybe he meant a 9506? That’s what a lot of people think. Oh well

I just searched ''Powermaster 9106'' and Summit has more than 10 in stock at 168.-- dollars. The 9506 is a different style, heavier and larger starter for the same engines. 209.99 dollars at summit.
Call Summit and see what they say.

The power master 9406 has been in our car since 2016. We did ultimately have the tranny rebuilt and have added an autolite 2100, not a webber, and repainted the car, but maybe this will help a bit: https://herbelgarage.wordpress.com/2016/06/08/summit-starter-woes-and-fixes/

So power master 9406 seems to solve the mystery and is a nice looking unit.
I got a mini starter from a business called Alterstart in Dallas, TX for my 250 and it worked fine. Don't know if they are still in business they had been selling on ebay. Been awhile since that upgrade but I seem to remember the mini was much lighter than the original starter maybe 10 lbs?
