1967 Valve cover oil filler cap

I got my 1967 Mustang 200 CID several years ago from my dad. I have been restoring it. Sometime in the past he added a after market chrome valve cover, chrome oil filler cap, and a chrome air cleaner. The chrome has seen better days. I was stunned when I found out how much it was to re chrome these pieces. My dad still had the original valve cover and oil filler cap. The original valve cover's oil filler cap has a port on the side for a hose. The chrome valve cover has a oil filler cap that does not have a hose connection. The caps are not interchangeable. There is a Autolite 1100 carb on the engine. I have seen pictures of 67 200"s with the hose running under the air cleaner. There is no where to attach the hose that I can see. I asked my dad where the hose went. He said that he does not remember there ever being a hose attached. I am going to powder coat the original valve cover, cap, and the chrome air cleaner Ford Dark Blue to match the block. It is going to look funny with a oil filler cap with no hose attached. Where did it go?

Here are links to repro Mustang air filters from Mustangs Unlimited . There were Federal [49 state] and California versions and other variations . You can see the PCV hookups on the Cal. version , the Fed/49 state may be underneath .

If you want to use the "chrome" air cleaner , you could use one of these [4 pages of adapters] - http://www.summitracing.com/search/Depa ... Rank%7cAsc
Some attach to the underside of the air cleaner [there may be a "knockout" for that] or clip in-between the top and bottom of the air cleaner up against the filter . Some of the others appear to be less universal .
