i used an older dist with the pertronix the pertronix coil and wires,just for the sake of it i used my bro's pertronix from his 69 maverick 200 after mine failed,it works fine so something is wrong with the one i put in,I dont care,i wired up the duraspark,the engine runs really nice so i'll keep it and just run the pertronix i already have for my V-8s those i have had for years.

if you send it back to petronix, tell them what you did, they may replace it. I sent one back to be cked and got a new one back. great customer service. I have it in two cars.

I tried to have them send me a new one in july,But they said a warranty had run out? i bought it 3yrs ago but it's been sitting in it's container unopened and in my closet so it wouldnt get wet.Oh well so i put it in my 100 ton press squished it til it was paper thin and mailed it back to them
