I have a couple of questions.

1.Will Clifford's Holley two barrel carb adaptor fit my 1977 200?
2.If so, which Holley carbs fit this adaptor? I am wondering if I can pick up a Holley 2 barrel used (i.e. cheap) that will work.

Thanks,
S

Some information has been posted on this. I guess you've just got to home in on:-

a) what diameter the intake hole is on the head (should be 1.75 on yours, but there is also a 1.5" hole head used on all pre 1970 engines.). A 1.5" will only take a Holley-Weber #5200 or 32/36 Weber. They are too small for a 350 Holley, but can be made to fit at a pinch. It's a waste of time putting gas down a hole thats too small.

b) the Holley-Weber carb you use is important. There are two kinds. The best option is simply the Holley Weber #5200, or a Weber 32/36 ( DG##) made in the USA. It's a progressive opening dual throat, with the first throat open, and the second throat machanically opened when your foot goes down hard, and really economical. These carbs are found on 2000 and 2300 cc Pintos/Capris and Fox-bodies. It isn't called a Holley 2300.

c) the Holley #2300, either 350 cfm PN 7448, or 500 cfm PN 4412. These are not ideal. Just because its called a Holley 2300 doesn't mean its off a 2300 Pinto or Mustang.

I'm not able to post you any pictures just yet, but an excellent photo log has been done by slade (Ka Stang) or someone here. When I find it, I'll give you the link.

Best wishes,

Deano
