Engine was pulled for a v8 swap, which required the trans to be swappped as well. This was a running combo, that ran well. Dual pattern block (c8) currently equiped with a c4( small pattern)- rebuild in mid 80's. Engine was removed from a 65 stang. Engine is not original to the car, trans unknown. Head is a c6-currently removed from engine. I have an e code head that i can let go with the engine for the right price. Engine has - Factory ac bracket, and Dual crank/ Wp pullies, distributor(DUI- gm style), exhaust manifolds( 2, small and large opening) carbuetor, starter, and adjustable rocker shaft. Customer that removed engine had previosuly spent money to install a later model head- with 2bbl conversion and fuel injection-Customer kept the fuel injection to use on new engine- and sold head to recoupe money. HEAD is not Installed currently.
Engine is as expected on outside- normal grease and some block rust. Due to head being remove, compression can not be gathered, but the cylinders can be inspected, and cross hatching is visable in all 6. This would be a good engine to give a quick spruce and reinstall in a car. Buy a gasket set- regasket the whole engine, and reinstall, you'll have a great combo and can drive in confidence. If the e code head is purchased as well, could become a nice little preformer. This engine would need a gasket set, a fuel pump and just a few hours to run as is. (Check the carb)
E code head is from a fairmont or granada( I pulled it a few years ago as a spare, but will have no need with the installation of a 250 2v head, and is in as pulled condition. Recomend having the head inspected, and gone through- Head should see a machine shop anyways to be milled for modern head gasket.
