So what happens if you run 4 cylinder oil? Does it mess up your muffler bearings?

yup, ya also gotta change your blinker fluid because 4-cyl oil weakens the molecular bonds in the reciprocating gasket

If you have a Cobra, all you should use is Snake Oil.

So can I assume everyone here is using Pony oil? I got one tied up out back and he just hates it when I have to change the oil in my '66 stang. Squeezing that extra 1/2 court from him is really a pain!

ok two questions, are you differentiating between I6 oil and V6 oil? and what if you used 2 qts of 4 cyl oil and 2 qts of 8 cyl oil, and 1qt of that oh so rare 5cyl oil?
