ok, i was all set on droppin a 250 into a corty, then all of a sudden i hear that you can push more power out of a 200. what am i better off doing? keepin in mind i will probably rebuild whatever i get and inject with tripple throttle bodies. as far as i new the 250 was supposed to be alot better but now i hear a 200 would be because it has a shorter stroke and therefore more compression in the same period as a 250 so (supposedly) more power. can any one clear this up which would make more power the easiest. thanks a bunch kiddies :o)

the 250 will make more power easier just because there is no substitute for inches... however you could build a revver 200 and get just as good performance, albeit at a higher cost. the 200 rod into 250 sounds like an effective combo and is well worth looking into as my 250 really loses out in the rod to stroke ratio. butu power isn't everything either, you'll find big improvements in gearing the car rightly and setting it up so it gets traction, good luck in your quest, see you on the track!!

Get a 221 with triple Dell'Ortos. 10% cubes over a 200, bugger all extra weight and a small motor like the 200. Or go alloy head crossflow with a turbo. :D
