Hello guys, okay ... im new the forums so hi! But heres' my question .... Okay, I have a 302 in the garage and a 200cid In my 1967 mustang. I was gonna put the 302 in, but not n e more .. I decided on keeping the 200cid that came stock with the 67 stang. I wanna go about rebuilding it to get the max hp and torque out of the 200. What parts am i gonna need, how much power will i expect, ect...
I have 1,000.00 ...
thanks

hello

1-Tune up - spark plugs, wires yada yada
2-Upgrade to electronic ignition Pertronix or Duraspark with a new ignition module
3-new timing chain, I assume that old one may be ready to go or just worn out
4-I would replace the old valve seals(but that's me)
5-carb upgrade (3 options)
a. larger 1bbl carb
b. stovebolt adapter and stovebolt rebuilt 5200
c. direct mount Holley 350 (Easier done with head pulled off)
6-Exhaust headers(this option may put you over your budget)
7-New Camshaft. would be good if you plan to use the Holley 350
