I'm just pleased your back. Any help on headers or cranks needed?

How are those Carter Weber Escort carbs going on your 250, Ken?.

I lost the photo's, so I've been awaiting your re-appearnce. Your head buid has been an inspiration to me!

You are too smart to have brain fade, I've seen the work you've done...

I was thinking a 221 crankshaft in a 250 block would be an interesting combination. The I realized a 221 crank is probably more of a fit in a 200 block because of the crank nose similarities.
I am not building a 200, but if I were to, I'd be looking for a 221 crank.
As far as the Header question, I asked the question, then found a post that I had posted earlier asking the same question.

You could destroke a 250 crank, install longer rods to increase the rod/stroke ratio, and have a better reving engine.

Hmm-got me wondering-The main bearing size is the same as the 250, but how does the 221 block compare? Centerline to deck? Snout dia and length?
Myway

My 221 block has roughly a 1/2" taller deck height than the US 200, cam is spaced slightly further from the crank to allow for rod to cam clearance. Pretty sure the crank snout diameter is the same but I'd need to check

The best combination down under is a 2V headed 221, the master at doing these Marty White Race Engines.

Thanks xctasy,
You are the most knowledgeable Ford I-6 guy I know.
I am still working on the 3x2 head. A lot of changes in my world has slowed me down a lot. But my beloved six is not canned. I am near finishing my schooling, again at age 54  , and then I am going to finish my six and my Maverick.
I have been thinking of using a Weber 32/36 for the center carb and making a progressive throttle linkage to activate the 2 Escort carburetors.
Thanks for your help,
Ken
