hey
Im building a 221/ 2v head and was wondering if a xe electronic dizzy or a aftermarket one is the best option and will a holley 465 fit under the bonnet of a xp falcon

I can tell you that a 221-2v with a 465 will fit under the XP, Ive got one on a 250-2v which has a higher block, it just fits, so your lower 221 block should be alright.
As to you electronic dizzy, it might not be a direct bolt in as the 221 oil plump i think has a smaller hex drive, however Im sure theres somebody who can do this.

ocd - have look at these two posts on aust ford forums.

will gen you up on the swap- biggest problem is the different dizzy shaft diameters where the end of the shaft fits in the block.

note that on the block ( on my 200ci i pulled apart) is small oil hole for lube of the end of the shaft - wether its pressure fed from the cam bearings or drip fed from the lifters i am not sure about.

so if its pressure fed and you install the dist shaft with a 40thou clearance may loose some oil pressure - NOT SURE though-something to check
