All Small Six 250ci Transmissions

This relates to all small sixes
T5, top loaders? Top loaders are not cheap down here, early Ford t10? Maybe super t10. tremec 3550. We have a home grown Borg warner 4 speed, which is pretty cheap, you would not have seen one, they are good trans, used even behind 351s.. RIMG0172.JPGRIMG0173.JPG

This is the best, Ok not the best for the street, four speed clutch-less shifts. rated for 3,000 HP but it weights 150 lbs. and eats a lot of power. Just finished the new shifter.
I think that a T5 from a 5.0 would work well, the overdrive 5th is nice. There are guys that have done this swap, maybe they will chime in.

X3 Yes anything from a 3.03 3 Speed, a 4 Speed Top Loader, or the later 4 Speed T10's, T4's, & T5's, and most anything else that will fit behind a 302 / 351 Foes Small Block V8 will also work.

1969 Ford Mustang Fastback with a 250 Six and 3 Speed.

"...good affordable manual transmission for the 250?..."
as above, need more info, ie specific Application?

drag? = auto (we just put in 1 that hasa set of solenoids for Tq Converter 'empty/fill").
Not the bronk (4.1/250) of course - a 6 speed might 'do' that one if a desert 'trophy' or 'trick' truck.
Buta NV3550 just went in fora lower low (than the oe 3.03) & OD fora higher in hi gear.
Again 'application' is the answ 2 every automotive Q. Bronks R multipurpose vehicles...

The 3.03 (some call it a top loader) was good for the former purpose (30% on rd / 70% off). Now for my daughter, she will apply the vehicle to a different purpose (70% rd / 30% off).Good Luck, keep talkin~
