I'm trying to pick a cam for my rebuild. In the FSPP rebuild kit, it ask for cam choice. I was wondering what is the difference in the 264-10 SHS, and the 264-10 DHS. This is my first rebuild, thx for all your help...

Easy answer, the 264-HSP is the single pattern cam 264 on the intake & 264 on the exhaust.

The 264-HDP is the hydraulic dual pattern camshaft with 264 on the intake & 274 on the exhaust.

Since the intake flow is so poor on the log head I would use the 264-HSP-12 if you have a C4 trans with a stock converter.

If you have a stick shift car or a C4 with a higher stall speed converter I would use the 264-HSP-10 camshaft.

If you have a turbo or supercharged engine I would use the 264-HDP-112 or even 114.

If still in question contact Mike & www.classicinclines.com

Hope this helps, William
