4 speed overdrive tranny questions

Found a 1980 Granada parts car today. 250 that runs and 4 speed tranny in which 4th gear is overdrive. I was going to use a 3 speed but the overdrive sounds really cool (2 bucks a gallon sucks!) Questions are 1) are these trannys any good and 2) does any one know where I can find the gear ratios? By the way , I'm planning this for a 49 Ford. Thanks , Mike

.....MIKE THEIR ARE TWO MAIN RATIOS. THE ONES I KNOW OF COME FROM VANS. THESE ARE ALITTLE STRONGER THAN THE ALU. CASE TRANNIES. THAY ALSO HAVE OUTSIDE SHIFTING BARS. IF YOU WENT TO THE SIGHT ABOVE YOU WILL HAVE SEEN THEY ALSO LOOK LIKE A TOP LOADER.

..................... 3.02.........1.72....1.00..... .79

.....THE ALU. CASE DOSE HAVE RATIOS SOMETHING LIKE THESE, BUT THEIR WERE ANY SMALL CHANGE TO THE GEARING BECAUSE OF DIFFERENT POWER PLANT IN FRONT OF THEM.

.....I BELIEVE YOU WILL HAVE THE ALU. CASE SROD TRANNY. I THINK THEIR RATIOS WILL BE CLOSE TO THE OTHERS.
