Hi I know this question has probably been asked before but can you fit a 4l crank in a 221 or 250 pre xflow and what rods pistons would be needed

NO, main journals are too big for 221, however they are the same as crossflow. From AU mains journals enlarged again, so NO for that. Nothing to be gained. A 4litre crank has the same stroke as a 250, that is too much for the 221 block. if you want a 4litre, get the whole thing.
